World Dog Show Budapest - Hungary

We're more than thrilled and proud to announce that we returned from Budapest with both the Dog and Bitch tickets, Best of Breed and an additional Reserve ticket even !

Our Ch Pitlochry's Darragh (Ch Pitlochry's Catwaezle x WW'10 Ch Giggles of Aerie) won a strong Champion class and the World Winner title as well.

In the bitches, our Ch Cualainn Huldah (Pitlochry's Rolex x Uk Ch Cualainn Persia) won an extremely hot Open class, and right after her triumph our Ch Ballinskellig My Fair Lady (Ch Pitlochry's Andreas x Wonderful Girl von der Oelmuhle) topped Champion class, and went on to become World Winner ! In addition to that, our Huldah went Reserve World Winner to her, a fruitful day indeed !

Afterwards, Lady won Best of Breed and was shortlisted in the Group finals by Mr Kenneth Edh from Sweden.

Our most sincere appreciation to breed judge Lisbeth Mach of Superstar Poodles from Switzerland for rewarding the qualities of our dogs !

Many Congratulations to Christa Hermsen (Holland) on winning both Best of Breed and Best of Opposite Sex at the National Specialty of the Hungarian Irish Wolfhound Club with her homebred Skibberdeen's Bryanne (Skibberdeen's Rudolph x Pitlochry's Venus) and Skibberdeen's Rudolph (Pitlochry's Catwaezle x Pitlochry's Venus) under sighthound specialists Jean Brixhe (B) and Jim Behan (IE)!

Dutch Irish Wolfhound Club National Specialty - the Netherlands

On the very first show on his life, Always My Bryan Roan Inish, son of WW'11 & Crufts Winner'13 Ch Pitlochry's O'Bryan Orak and WW'11 Ch Absolute Roan Inish Tullamore Good Stuff, goes Best Junior Male & JUNIOR BEST IN SHOW at the Dutch National Specialty under breeder-judge Timothy Finney of  the Gulliagh Hounds from Ireland, and the 15-month-old Pitlochry's Nelson (Crufts Winner'12 Skibberdeen's Rudolph x Irish Dream Adolva) took Runner-Up to him in Junior class. 

Pitlochry's Othello (Ch Pitlochry's Ramses x Pitlochry's Emmely) won a strong Intermediate Class, and our Pitlochry's Catwaezle daughter; Grania Roan Inish went Reserve Best Bitch. 

A former bitch of ours, Maxima von der Oelmuhle (Iceman von der Oelmuhle x Pitlochry's Roxan) won Best Bitch and BEST IN SHOW! Congratulations to her present owner Christa Hermsen of the Skibberdeen's Irish Wolfhounds (NL) !

IERDIE Irish Wolfhound Specialty for Young Dogs and Veterans

Unfortunately this year we couldn't show our dogs at the IERDIE Specialty Show due to the fact that we have two irish wolfhound litters to take care of at the moment, but we were thrilled to hear the news that Lancelot du Pays Rurale, a son of Ch Pitlochry's Sting and Pitlochry's Octavia won Best in Specialty Show ! 

Lancelot is owned by Bussemaker Margreet (NL), was bred by Bredero-Splinter (NL) and, on this occasion, was piloted to Best in Show by Marloes Jansen (NL).

Border news: Raff, Raff !

 We received wonderful news from Denmark: the young Pitlochry's Toon a.k.a. 'Raff' took his first Best of Breed from Puppy Class at Grossenaspe (Germany) National Dog Show. We were told he was also elected the 'Charmer of the day' by the audience...

'Raff' is owned, handled and LOVED by Randi Kontni and Holger Prahm of Crathlint kennels from Denmark. Congrats Randi & Holger, great start for this little fellow. :)

Crufts - The United Kingdom

What a day in Birmingham...After months of hard work and preparation for Crufts, at last our Ch Pitlochry's O'Bryan Orak won the Dog CC. We could not be more proud of our Bryan's wonderful achievement and show performance despite his age; he is soon to be 6 years, but moved like a 3-year-old. Unfortunately his tail seemed to have been injured during our trip to Crufts, but luckily it was not broken. 

His young daughter, Pitlochry's Irish Gipsey placed 2nd in Limit Class and our Ch Ballinskellig My Fair Lady made it to Reserve in a hot Open Class.

Our deepest appreciation goes to breed judge Jean Malley (UK) for rewarding the qualities of our dogs. Many Congratulations to Maggie Holder (Mascotts, UK) for taking the Bitch CC and the Breed !
